Programs - Tender Arts

Innovative custom workshops are designed for children and adolescents with physical and developmental disabilities or serious illness. Special emphasis is placed upon youngsters without sophisticated verbal or abstract thinking skills.

The experienced creative arts therapists and teaching artists facilitating the program are available to meet with school personnel and relevant staff to ensure that all projects are appropriately tailored to meet the needs of each child.

Future plans include providing in-home, one-to-one mentors (Heartworkers) who will interact with the children utilizing arts kits tailor-made by our creative arts therapists to meet the individual abilities and interests of each child.

Arrangements for in-home pet therapy visits may also be available to children with disabilities or illnesses who are in need of a non-threatening sensory experience.
