We are now accepting applications for our Summer Camp and our upcoming fall series.
After school and summer workshops are held 1 1/2 to 2 hours once a week in different, 10-week thematic series for children experiencing the effects of trauma, grief, loss, separation, maltreatment, or neglect.
Referred youngsters are screened by a licensed psychologist who is a registered art therapist, and children are grouped according to ages, gender, abilities, needs, and interests.
Special programs have been designed to reach children who do not respond well to traditional therapy.
Mending ArtsSM can also provide an adjunctive opportunity for healing.
Call for enrollment criteria, applications, locations, and schedules of workshops.
Please call for information regarding our newest program, C.A.R.T.®, Creating Art with Reuseable Things®. This unique program is available for use in schools, hospitals and restrictive settings such as shelters and detention centers. Learn how almost any material can be recycled or upcycled to create beautiful artistic sculptures and other works of art! This program can be adapted for use with children with special needs. The Children's Specialized Hospital School program and Children's First staff have touted our program's success!
